Hub New Music continues its dedication to genre defying new classical music fueled by the spirit of collaboration through its program Strata. A new song cycle (Strata) by the chamber-pop composer/performer Audrey Harrer extraordinaire serves as the centerpiece of the program. An artist praised by the Boston Globe for “building a web of intrigue” in works that fall between the cracks of “classical composition and the experimental pop of Kate Bush and Björk,” Harrer joins Hub as both a harpist and singer in her new three song cycle and in arrangements of her other work. On the first half of the program, audiences can enjoy in genre defying chamber works by Judd Greenstein and Daniel Wohl.
