ABOUT

As a member of Hub, it’s not uncommon for someone to receive a mixtape on their birthday. For our 10th anniversary in 2023, Hub made our own birthday mixtape of sorts. This program features eight new works commissioned for the occasion by an esteemed cohort of composers, whose work gives a snapshot of the music being written today. This collection of works by Angélica Negrón, Jessica Meyer, Tyshawn Sorey, Nico Muhly, Donnacha Dennehy, Marcos Balter, Sage Shurman, and Andrew Norman capture the essence of Hub. We’re thrilled to share them in a program that celebrates our vibrant artistic community.
